Make a Blog Posting Schedule For Success

One of the most common reasons for starting a blog is to eventually make money from selling products or advertising space on them. Unfortunately, some beginning bloggers believe that all they have to do is write some interesting posts and people will automatically come and make purchases or click on links. More experienced bloggers may understand the need for marketing and engaging visitors in a more personal way, but still fail to meet the income goals they set.

What happens then? When someone blogs regularly and does not see any reward, he or she often quits or lets the blog post schedule dwindled to one a week or one a month. In some cases, the person might quit right before they start making a profit.

Do not fall into this trap. Instead, make a blog posting schedule and vow to stick with it no matter what. Each blog post can take as little as 10 minutes to complete. These may not be very long, but can be enough to attract attention of the search engines and potential readers.

The main things that make blog posting take longer are trying to come up with something to write about, wishing you didn’t have to write, falling down rabbit holes while researching and general procrastination.

Decide how often want to post newย content

If your site is about an evergreen topic, you may be able to get away with less frequent blog posting. One post per week or one per month may be all right if you start off with a decent number of posts at launch. For any topic that changes frequently, such as video game news, weather or current fashions, you will have to post more often.

Organise

It does not matter if you use a to-do list app, and online calendar or sticky notes on your office wall. You’ll never thick to a schedule if you don’t have some sort of visual reminder. Not only does it help you know which day you should write a blog post on, but it helps you stay accountable when you just don’t feel like doing your work.

Front load your blog content and schedule posting dates

All the popular blog software online allows you to schedule posts in advance. This means you could write five, 10 or even 50 articles at once and put them up on your blog with different posting dates in the future. Just imagine how easy it would be to stick to a schedule if you have three months of blog posts already loaded and ready to go.

Consider outsourcing your blog content

Many successful bloggers do not write or create all the content on their site. Hiring other people to write articles for you is a great option. First, you can look into private label rights articles and post them as is or rewrite them to make them unique. Second, you can hire a freelance or ghostwriter to create unique content about your niche. Remember, you get what you pay for. A three dollar article will not be as enticing to either search engines or readers as one that costs more and is written by a professional, native English speaking writer.
