If you follow my blog, you’ll know that we got engaged earlier this year. It’s flown by (just as everybody said it would!), and I’m so excited that next month I’ll finally be able to say “we’re getting married next year!”.
Although I can’t wait to walk down the aisle in my *gorgeous* gown, I’m glad we decided to wait for a little before tying the knot. Having some extra time has enabled us to have everything we dreamed of, including live strings and a pianist during our ceremony, an exclusive venue, and all our friends and family attending!
One of the things we wanted to wait for specifically, was being able to afford a memorable honeymoon. Travel is super important to us, so we’ve thought long and hard about it. We haven’t set anything in stone, and we’re constantly changing our mind, but we keep going back to a month-long trip to Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Here are some of the destinations that keep creeping back onto our list, and why they might be a good fit for you and your loved one, if you’re planning a honeymoon, too!
Hawaii is a good honeymoon destination for many reasons. First and foremost, this area tends to receive warm weather throughout the year. Whether you visit in winter or fall, there is a pretty good chance that you’ll be able to wear shorts and a short-sleeve shirt. At the same time, you’ll be able to enjoy the amazing beaches.
Another great thing about Hawaii is the fact that most people can speak English. This will make your travels so much more convenient, when you want to request another massage and food with ease.
Fairmont Chateau, Lake Louise
If you’re a fan of cold weather, you’ll definitely want to travel to Lake Louise. There, you will find the Fairmount Chateau. This amazing destination is home to many exciting attractions. For instance, it offers many excellent winter sports, and it is a great honeymoon spot. The facility is situation deep in the mountains and surrounded by trees. Once you’ve enjoyed a day out in the wilderness, you’ll want to return inside and cuddle with your significant other in front of the fireplace.
